Ku'uipo Outfit for Kanani

Ku'uipo means My Sweetheart in Hawaiian. That's why I think this little outfit is perfect to be shown near Valentine's Day. The Ku'uipo is specially embroidered so the O is a flower. The skirt is reversible to a cute tiny flower design on reddish material. The Tee shirt is fitted with cap sleeves. The flower is anchored to a small bobbi pin so your doll can wear it near her ear. Nicole Loves this outfit and doesn't want to give it up; but it will soon be for sale in Beach Baby Doll's etsy shop.I think we've raised  enough money for two younger children to go to Bible camp this summer with the sales from the shop since August. Praising the Lord for all He gives us! And thanking the generosity of our customers. Yay!!
Guess what? I loved "Blue Hawaii" the movie with Elvis. It was made when I was in high school, I think. That's where I first heard the word Ku'uipo so I'm sharing this video with you.

French Silk Lovely

This all cloth, silk covered French boudoir doll must have been a stunning doll 80+ years ago because even after 80+ years and a shredded blue gown and missing silk on her face and chest, she remains a work of art.

She has red silk floss hair, hand-painted, dramatic face paint and individually stitched fingers. She only has hints of her blue silk dress, trimmed in rhinestone and lace. Her fancy slip and pantaloons remain and make a good substitute for a dress. I'm not good at identifying fabric, but it's satiny and in good shape, trimmed with gorgeous lace. From the indentations on her feet, I can tell she once wore ankle-strapped shoes. I wonder if the shoe straps were rhinestoned-trimmed? That would have been gorgeous.

Bored and Waiting For Summer

Most of you are aware of the horrible weather and series of snow events we've had in the northeast. I found Eugenia dressed for the beach and she said that she's staying this way until it warms up. These divas are really something, aren't they?

2010 Convention Eugenia (workshop)

This Eugenia is the gorgeous model from the workshop at this past October's IT convention. She is wearing a fashion from La Boutique and carrying the January 2011 handbag Purse of the Month. The handbag came with an adorable matching wallet. I ordered the shoes separately.

Congratulations to Angelic Dreamz on their nomination for a DOTY Award for Sasha.

Sasha is a tribute to Alexander McQueen. She has an interchangeable head cap - one with rooted hair and one for wigs. She wears a silver lame, Swarovski crystal encrusted dress with matching tights and armadillo McQueen trademark boots. Her face paint is powder blue with matching lips, nails and pedicure. LE30.

Digital Backgrounds: Retro Series from Savage

The DVD I recently ordered contains 48 digital backgrounds at 300dpi and can be used in Photoshop. I haven't checked the tutorial with which it comes but I'm sure it can be used on most available platforms and with most professional software.

I was just fooling around with a picture of Tiny Kitty and this is the frightening result.

Don't worry, you won't be seeing too much of this from me. This disc has tremendous potential.

In my hands it has tremendous potential for pain.
